Easter - Egg coloring, egg hunts, and bunny ears

We were all very under the weather when it was time to celebrate Passover this year. We had a nice Passover meal together the first evening, but then had to focus on recovery! That meant that we were cooking very few meals and going to bed early.

By the end of the week, we were all back on our feet, and could celebrate Easter!

We went over to Robyn and Ava's house to color eggs. Did I capture that on film? No, I was too busy trying to color the eggs (Robyn and I did that for the most part) and trying to stop Liora from getting egg dye all over the floor. Here are the girls playing while our eggs dry on the counter.

The next morning, the Easter bunny had visited! He filled Liora's Elmo easter basket (she picked it out, from a WALL of pretty flower and chick baskets...) with bunny ears, stuffed animals, markers and an Elmo ball.

Of course, we thought the bunny ears would look best on Zooks. He disagreed.

We did finally get a photo or two of Liora with the bunny ears. I am sure you can imagine how difficult this was to get on film; it lasted for all of five seconds.

But she's so cute as a bunny!

At Aunt Diane and Uncle George's house later, they set up some Easter egg hunts for her (using plastic eggs, thank goodness). Parker and Olivia helped her find eggs, and she really got into it.

As Daddy pointed out, the best thing about the elmo easter basket is that it can be a year-round toy. The day after Easter, she was lugging it around the house and opening all of her eggs. Luckily, Nina had already gone through and taken out all of the jelly beans--she did get some on Easter, but that is plenty for now!

And now for a video of Zooks and the bunny ears.
