California Grandparents Visit

Two weeks ago, MeMe and Amity came for a nice long visit. Liora was pleased, as always, to be the center of attention and spend time with them. She also loved all of the activity...we were busy!

The first night, we all got together to celebrate Rosh Hashanah.

Liora was, I think, surprised to be going somewhere special during the week. She loved the dinner, eating up all the roast vegetables we gave her.

We saw MeMe and Amity often during the week, and it always seemed to revolve around food! We had everyone over for dinner on Friday night, our first time hosting that whole side of the family. Wish we had taken some photos, but I guess we were too busy cooking and enjoying the company! : )

Side note: we normally eat dinner separately from Liora because of her early bedtime. So when the whole family eats with her, she is over the moon...I am also beginning to think that during those dinners, she eats much more. That night she ate a lot, and tried many new things, including white bean salad.

On Saturday, we had more fun! Here she is, getting excited to go out to lunch (my new favorite photo of her):

After playing on the floor for a while, we went out to Redwood in Bethesda. Liora ate off of the children's menu for the first time--macaroni and cheese. She really enjoyed herself.

After lunch, we finally had an opportunity to walk around downtown Bethesda together, something we never seem to find the time to do.

That night, we had another great meal at Black Market Bistro in Kensington. Yummy! And mommy and daddy enjoyed having a little time away from Liora. Wait, what? Of course we didn't...we missed her every minute.

To give MeMe and Amity a proper send off, we had bagels on the morning of their departure. Liora will miss seeing them every day; she definitely became used to having them around for hugs and love.

Come back soon!!
