December is always such a fun month. We really get in the spirit in our house!
Liora and mommy went to pick out a tree by ourselves. I truly do not remember why this was not a family endeavor.
We got a really bushy and heavy tree this year.
Daddy had trouble getting it in the door, but we got it set up quickly and Liora put on her reindeer ears to celebrate the occasion.
In this photo, Daddy and Liora start building the first of our two gingerbread houses from this year. We seem to forget every year that we have a cat (Lexy) who has a fascination for/love of gingerbread smell. After daddy and Liora built this house, we came home to it in pieces the next day. Daddy glued it back together. It was shattered once again. We bought a new kit, and that one stayed on the counter for the rest of the month because the icing smelled so bad it covered up the gingerbread smell. But I digress. Back to holiday prep!
Here we are lighting our first Chanukah candle! We spent other Chanukah evenings with family and out and about for Saba's birthday, so we were glad to have this first night at home, just the four of us.
Liora and mommy decorated the tree over many evenings and a weekend. Here we are in one of the phases!
