Travel Day + Recovery Day

Yesterday was a LONG day. Not because of Liora, necessarily. She was a perfect angel on the planes, keeping herself amused and enjoying herself for the most part. Before boarding in DC, she did let out a pretty loud yell--in a very large terminal. I heard her from the other side of the terminal and was met with some concerned looks by fellow passengers. But Liora showed them! She was a great baby.

By the time we landed in Denver (we were delayed in the air a bit due to storms and hail on the ground), it was her normal bedtime. We tried to put her to sleep, but airports are very over-stimulating. When we finally got her to sleep, it was time for the next leg of the trip to Durango. The winds were so high that this flight was delayed as well. We finally made it in last night an hour or so late, and we were all exhausted. Couple that with the fact that Gabi had food poisoning or something the day before we came, and today was just a day for relaxing, introducing cousins, and getting the lay of the land.

We walked down to the end of

Gabi and Paul's street to take a walk with the kids and doggy Maya to Hawkin's preserve. It's a beautiful park with a nice path and cool view of the "sleeping ute" which is in the background of this photo.

And now for a cute video of Sammy and Liora talking to each other.
